The president of the Dunellen Board of Education was arrested early Monday morning for child pornography charges filed against him. The 67 year old Phillip C. Heiney, NJ native, allegedly shared videos of child pornography over the Internet through a file sharing network. Upon seeing the images online, the detectives of the New Jersey State Police Digital Technology Investigations Unit , launched an investigation where they searched for the computer address that offered several files of explicit videos that was easily accessible for anyone to see and download .
The detective was able to successfully download 2 of the videos, that displayed graphic scenes of an adult male engaging in sexual acts with a blindfolded female minor who he had roped tightly via OBSERVER.
From the two videos, the detective were able to track down the IP Address that was traced to Heiney’s house. With a search warrant issued to them, the detectives and agents from the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice and ICE Homeland Security Investigations were able to look through Heiney’s computers, with the help provided from the Dunellen Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. Aside from the laptops, his hard drives, thumb drives, were just some of the many computer equipments that the officers seized from the NJ native’s home. These items will be inspected through forensic examinations that will be conducted at the Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory in Hamilton, reported by OBSERVER.
On the computers, were more videos and images of child porn stored. The officers immediately arrested the alleged suspect at his home in Dunellen, as stated by the OBSERVER. Heiney has since been charged with second-degree distribution of child pornography and third-degree possession of child pornography.
Child sex offenders comes in all shapes and sizes, but what is pretty mind-blogging to a lot of folks is that Heiny, with his high-powered position at his local school district, would bring shame to his name, being involved in child pornography. He in fact, should’ve used his voice to put an end to it.
“While it can be shocking that the president of a school board would allegedly share and view despicable videos and images of child pornography and bestiality, the parents, teachers, students and staff can take some solace in this arrest,” said Colonel Rick Fuentes, Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police. “Heinous acts like those alleged in this case only strengthen our resolve to root out those who peddle smut on the Internet,”via OBSERVER.
Heiney is in currently held in custody at rhe Middlesex County Jail with a bail set at $75,000.
