A Brooklyn man was rushed to the hospital after being ferrociously beaten by four men whom he had offered to lend some cash on a meal they were short on.
After he overheard some customers refusing to hand them some cash at the Texas Chicken and Burgers restaurant in Prospect Park South, Joseph Molohon, 37, approached them saying that he would pay for their food on March 1st.
Police cited that the suspects responded by allegedly attacking him, which was all caught on camera.
What started as a fight between him and two men, quickly escalated to a total of four men pounding on him, when he tried to defend himself. The good Samaritan was pushed to the ground after being striked with his cane and was kicked and punched all over his head and body .
The suspects fled; a fifth man entered the restaurant, grabbed the cash that was in the 37 year old’s pockets and ran.
The victim later told CBS that “The wallet was on my other side.I was laying on it and I had almost $1,000 in it. They didn’t get that.”
He was taken to the hospital after suffering from the multiple fractured bones, lacerations, and contusions.
He told CBS that “he’s afraid to leave his home until his attackers are arrested, Molohon said: “I don’t know why they would do something [like that]. I’m a good person. I’m good to everyone.”
