Police are searching for a former Major League Baseball player who reportedly has gone missing.
According to the NY POST, Otis Nixon, was last seen leaving his Georgia residence around 10 am on Saturday in his gray 2011 Range Rover that has a lcense plate reading CFP9010.
Atlanta’s WSB-TV station stated that the 58 year old had never showed up to the golf course that he had planned on going to on Saturday.
Police released an image of the Georgia native Sunday night.
This is the first time in four years that he’s made headlines, he was arrested in 2013 for his possession of cocaine, according to the NY Post.
He’s had a rough past abusing drugs; he was suspended back in 1991 when he was tested positive for cocaine while he was on the Braves team.
He has also played with the Expos, Indians, Blue Jays, Dodgers, Twins and the Red Sox.
Before his retirement in 1999, Nixon had a successful career as a fleet-footed center fielder, stealing 620 bases, scoring 878 runs and hitting for a .270 average, according to the same source.
